The Ranch House
Lilac Bushes
in Spring

These heirloom lilac bushes have grown in front of the ranch house for decades.  Each spring their fragrance wafts into the living room, filling the house with a light perfume.

The front porch was rebuilt with redwood in 1998, and is a perfect place to barbeque or just to sit and enjoy the view.

The middle bedroom upstairs has a dormer window affording a panoramic view of Broken Off Mountain, the pastures, and Peterson Ridge.

The tin roof was installed over the original wood shakes years after the house was built.  We replaced a couple of the panels in 1999 and left the remainder because we love the effect of old tin.
